FAQs

Has the Robert O’Neill lecture been rescheduled?

The final live lecture of the 2020 season with Robert O’Neill that was scheduled to take place on April 7, 2020, and was previously rescheduled for March 18, 2021, will now take place on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Sea Pines Resort in the Harbour Town Clubhouse Champions Ballroom.

Do I need to exchange my previously issued Robert O’Neill lecture ticket, dated March 18, 2021, for a new ticket for the rescheduled event that will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2021?

Tickets for the new date, Thursday, November 4, 2021, will be reissued electronically via the Eventbrite ticketing platform. Existing Subscribers and Individual Lecture participants will receive an email from Eventbrite, with new tickets attached, for the November 4, 2021 event. Only tickets dated for November 4, 2021 will be accepted for admission.

Why are there two separate seating options for the Robert O’Neill lecture?

Your safety and welfare are of the utmost importance, and we are taking all necessary precautions to plan, prepare, and proceed with a successful live post-quarantine event.

Part of our plan is to reduce the number of guests in attendance by offering two separate seatings in Sea Pines’ Harbour Town Clubhouse Champions Ballroom for Robert O’Neill’s lecture: Group 1 Lecture 4:00-5:30 PM and Group 2 Lecture 7:30-9:00 PM. Each ticket holder will also have the option to view the lecture virtually via live stream.

Will there be an option to participate in the Robert O’Neill lecture virtually?

Ticket holders that opt not to attend the face-to-face event at the Harbour Town Clubhouse Champions Ballroom will be provided virtual viewing access via live stream.

What if it is deemed unsafe to attend large gatherings when the Robert O’Neill event is scheduled to take place?

We will reschedule.

Are refunds for the Robert O’Neill lecture being provided?

Before requesting a refund, please consider donating your in-person unused tickets in exchange for access to the live virtual lecture stream. Given the scheduling uncertainty related to COVID-19, over 100 guests have DONATED UNUSED TICKETS. We are grateful for their support, and the educators, students, veterans, first responders, and community volunteers that will receive these tickets are grateful.

Nevertheless, refunds are being honored. To request a refund, please email tickets@lowcountryspeakerseries.com and include your name and physical mailing address.

Can I get a recording or transcript of the lectures?

By contract, the Lowcountry Speaker Series is strictly prohibited from distributing video, audio, or written transcripts of any presentation.
